Carrageenan (INS 407)

– White to ivory powder, smooth, homogeneous, no lumps

– Odorless or with a slight fishy odor; tasteless

-Carrageenan is derived from seaweed (red seaweed), dried, processed and processed according to quality standards. Carrageenan comes in 2 basic types:

+ Refined carrageenan (RC) E407

+ Semi-refined carrageenan (SMC) E407a
